Captrain Deutschland bought three Traxx DE locomotives in 2013/2014. These machines were part of a batch of 15 built by Bombardier for intended use by French operator SNCF (and later on leasing company Akiem). Captrain acquired the previously designated 76 101, 102 and 108, then renumbered as 285 117, 118 and 119. From delivery, the three locomotives were operated by Captrain subsidiary ITL from Dresden (DE). |

This year, Captrain added three new Traxx DE locomotives to its fleet: 285 117, 118 and 119. By delivery, all three machines had a different front design:
285 117: dark grey-white-lime green
285 118: white-lime green
285 119: silver-lime green
The livery of 285 117 has changed recently, now it is identical to 285 118. - AW

In the past days, 285 118-6 was being prepared for delivery by Bombardier in Kassel. Third third and last Traxx DE locomotive for German operator Captrain Deutschland left the factory on 21.05.2014. Next week the locomotive will receive its new Captrain logos and lime colored stickers in the Pirna (DE) workshops. - IS

 We already saw making the all silver 285 119-4 making its final test rounds in the past weeks. Meanwhile, the locomotive is handed over to Captrain Deutschland. The deal is based on a long term financial leasing contract with Bombardier.
Captrain will lease three such locomotives and add them to the fleet of ITL Eisenbahngesellschaft. - KAR
